For Communities & Partners
At YWHO, we believe it's important to share the core components of our Integrated Youth Services (IYS) model with communities across the province, and offer support to those interested in exploring or advancing IYS locally. While we recognize that each community is at a different stage in their journey, we aim to maintain open communication and foster collaboration to help increase readiness and promote equitable access to youth-centered services.
Our Community Outreach and Engagement (CO&E) group plays a pivotal role in supporting communities to increase their readiness to implement the YWHO IYS model. We have already connected with over 35 communities to promote and support steps to adopt IYS. Through these engagements, the CO&E group has met with a range of individuals and organizations from diverse communities to gather insights about local needs, and share information about the YWHO IYS model and its core components to support their IYS readiness. These conversations have also highlighted the role of YWHO communities as part of a Learning Health System, and YWHO’s role in the growing pan-Canadian IYS movement.
By building community capacity through knowledge-sharing and resource provision, and fostering partnerships across communities through outreach and engagement, YWHO is committed to increasing equitable access to youth-centered, evidence-informed wellness services across the province.
