Motivational Interviewing for Youth with Substance Use Concerns

This free introductory-level course prepares child and youth mental health and addictions (CYMHA) professionals to use Motivational Interviewing (MI) with youth who have substance use concerns. CYMHA professionals will develop foundational skills to build engagement, explore ambivalence, guide collaborative conversations about change and support youth in planning for change.

How to Register:
This course is hosted on Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario’s learning management platform, YWHO Learn. New users will be prompted to create an account on the platform before they can enroll in the course. Follow these steps to register:

- Login into or register new account on YWHO Learn
- Click ‘Browse Catalogue’ in menu bar at top
- Select desired course to open screen and click the "Register" button
