Announcing Carole-Anne Chiasson as the New Executive Director of Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario
We’re excited to share that Carole-Anne Chiasson has been appointed the new Executive Director of Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO), effective September 15, 2025.
Carole-Anne brings more than 15 years of visionary leadership in youth mental health and substance use health, with a deep commitment to equity, co-design, and integrated care. She has played a key role in transforming services and systems across Ontario to better support the needs of young people and their families.
For the past nine years, Carole-Anne has served as Clinical Director of the Child, Youth and Emerging Adult Program at CAMH, leading a team of over 300 staff and advancing several high-impact initiatives, including:
- Co-developing the Youth Vaping, Substance Use and Technology Dependence Program, a province-wide model for secondary school students, in partnership with INTREPID Lab, a leading hub for smoking and vaping treatment, research and education.
- Supporting the AMANI program through its growth to seven sites across Ontario. AMANI is mental health and substance use program that offers culturally responsive and affirming support for Black youth and their families.
- Implementing the Navigate model for early psychosis care at the Slaight Centre—now adopted across the province.
As Executive Director of YWHO, Carole-Anne will lead both the Provincial Office at CAMH and the network of 32 Youth Wellness Hubs across Ontario. She will work closely with young people, families, service providers, system leaders, funders, and researchers to build an integrated, youth-centred system that improves outcomes and access to care.
We would also like to recognize and thank Dr. Jo Henderson, YWHO’s founding Executive Director, who is transitioning to a new role as Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Henderson’s vision, leadership, and partnership with youth, families and communities have shaped YWHO into a national leader in Integrated Youth Services.
Please join us in welcoming Carole-Anne Chiasson to her new role and in celebrating this important moment in YWHO’s growth.
